Dana Doke-Prahl, RYT
Dana's first experience was teaching Prenatal and Power Yoga. She received her initial RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification in 2007. In 2011, she began studying a more comprehensive tradition of yoga, Viniyoga, in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya. She is now an RYT 500-hour certified Viniyoga Teacher through the American Viniyoga Institute (AVI).
Dana is always excited about what she and her students can accomplish together. The favorite part of her job is the "light bulb" moments when practitioners feel something or realize something new about themselves.
The yoga system is all encompassing and can be used to heal as deeply into the mind, body and soul as a practitioner is willing to explore.
Dana works individually with clients to set an intention for their time together. The private setting allows each student the opportunity to fully engage in learning about themselves. It also permits Dana to create a sequence solely designed for the individual including any posture modifications that will enhance the positive, medicinal effects of the practice. Anyone can practice this type of yoga! All postures and breathing exercises are modified to best serve the student.
At the core of Dana’s teaching philosophy is the goal to ensure each student has a yoga practice centered solely around their needs and their body's capabilities. To schedule your session with Dana, contact our Practice Assistant Rachel.
